It showed yesterday and on the overnight, was cloudy this morning, and now is snowing again. I saw 14 turkeys at the apple tree across the way -- Sharon saw 4 deer at the same spot when she went to move the cars out of leftover snow piles form the morning plowing.
Cooked lunch, I did -- as I mentioned in a post to a friend: chicken tenders were successfully baked ( at 350 for 35 minutes after being washed, patted dry, dipped in olive-oil mayo with non-fat cheese crumbles, a few shakes of Old Bay and light garlic powder, rolled in whole wheat bread crumbs and placed on a cookie sheet covered with baking parchment) ... went well with fresh whole baby carrots cooked for 25 minutes with canned green beans) ...
Now on to reading a suddenly appearing proof of Korval's Game.
Snowing where you are?

Dr. Ornish
2011-01-21 06:04 (UTC)Lunch: as a heart patient you might want to lose the mayo (which is basically eggs and oil) and the (even) non fat cheese. Dr. Dean Ornish (I'm sure he has a web site), Runs a very well known clinic for heart patients...I bet he's got recipes for folks. He reccommends a plant based diet. Also Dr. Memet Oz. I think he's got his own TV show now. A fave of Oprah.
Most medical doctors have only been required to take one class in nutrition in med school and don't know anything about it.
Since you live in a very civilized part of the US you will find excellent very tasty meat, cheese and mayo substitutes in your local supermarket and health stores. You might investigate. You will also find nice fresh green beans no doubt. They are easy to prepare. You just boil them up.
It is not snowing here but it was. Now the snow is gone thank heavens and it's dry enough for my dogs to go out in the big yard and run. They are much happier.
Barks to the cats.
