It showed yesterday and on the overnight, was cloudy this morning, and now is snowing again. I saw 14 turkeys at the apple tree across the way -- Sharon saw 4 deer at the same spot when she went to move the cars out of leftover snow piles form the morning plowing.

Cooked lunch, I did -- as I mentioned in a post to a friend: chicken tenders were successfully baked ( at 350 for 35 minutes after being washed, patted dry, dipped in olive-oil mayo with non-fat cheese crumbles, a few shakes of Old Bay and light garlic powder, rolled in whole wheat bread crumbs and placed on a cookie sheet covered with baking parchment) ... went well with fresh whole baby carrots cooked for 25 minutes with canned green beans) ...

Now on to reading a suddenly appearing proof of Korval's Game.

Snowing where you are?

Not today here in Minneapolis but prolly a lil bit tomorrow. I've measured 41" this winter, I expect another 20 or so till it's over.

It's bright and sunshiney here in Southern California. I haven't seen snow on the ground here since I was in high school.

Snow flurries right now - 3 to 4 inches overnight, and maybe some more over the next few days.

Light snow, lake effect. This is what it does every day in Michigan in the winter.

77F in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. Nice cool breeze off the ocean, however. Not a flake of snow to be seen.

We had a beautiful clear day, warm for winter (single digit Celsius, 50ish F), but now we have freezing fog over most of Britain. Fun.

Amazon UK still hasn't sent my pre-ordered _Agent Gambit_ but I have the e-books and used MMPBs.

No snow here in central Texas. It was sunny and 65 out on the playground today but is supposed to freeze tonight and be (gasp, cold!) in the 40s and 50s tomorrow. I'm glad you are feeling well enough to cook!

The temperature dropped from 45 to 28F in just under an hour, followed by about 1 1/2 inches of snow. Nice and ICY to drive on. Seems to have stopped now that rush hour is over.

Hope you are staying warm and not overdoing.

Full disclaimer: I love giving advise that no one wants to hear, or in this case, read.

Lunch: as a heart patient you might want to lose the mayo (which is basically eggs and oil) and the (even) non fat cheese. Dr. Dean Ornish (I'm sure he has a web site), Runs a very well known clinic for heart patients...I bet he's got recipes for folks. He reccommends a plant based diet. Also Dr. Memet Oz. I think he's got his own TV show now. A fave of Oprah.

Most medical doctors have only been required to take one class in nutrition in med school and don't know anything about it.

Since you live in a very civilized part of the US you will find excellent very tasty meat, cheese and mayo substitutes in your local supermarket and health stores. You might investigate. You will also find nice fresh green beans no doubt. They are easy to prepare. You just boil them up.

It is not snowing here but it was. Now the snow is gone thank heavens and it's dry enough for my dogs to go out in the big yard and run. They are much happier.
Barks to the cats.

Diet

Regarding what you eat, if your body decides to go wrong, it will. I was faithfully going to weight watchers for three years before my congestive heart attack, my cholesterol kept going up and up, for no good reason, and I wound up with a triple by-pass. I still try to eat somewhat carefully, but have more faith in the dozen pills I take daily, plus supplements (fish oil, glucosamine, calcium, etc.). Obviously I wasn't sticking to the diet, only lost 12 pounds in that time - and frankly, now I take the salt taboo with a grain of what else?salt! The craving is rough, and the salt substitutes don't do much good. Joan C.
