In support of the arts and musical enjoyment we've been watching Frenchy and The Punk move toward their Kickstarter goal to produce not one, but TWO new CDs. I'm for more music from these hardworking, hard singing folks, who have been featured at several SFnal and steampunk venues including TGNESE and Dragon*Con ... if you get a chance to see them live, you ought to. Really. If you're new to them. support the project at a level that gets you a CD...we did! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1992732366/frenchy-and-the-punks-big-music-project-2-full-len
Ummm .. also, this year would be a REALLY GOOD YEAR to introduce those holdouts among your friends to reading among our books, right? You may want to talk to your local indy bookstore about getting yours, or maybe see if Don Blyly still has a signed one left out there in Minneapolis...
Another also: Dear Barnes and Noble, Augusta Maine -- How in The Heck are you going to sell our books if they aren't on your shelf? Hoping someone will special order a book fresh out in August won't do it these days -- oh look at the warehouse, they have books, and we can ship it to you ... um, you know, that book in hand sells new people, it does. Why the nice ladies out at Mr. Paperback in Farmington had copies for us to sign, and were pleased to tell us how fast our books move for them. Listen up!
Oh, looks like a pretty day, and time for a walk, then, Dragon Ship. Plan is 2000 fresh words today.
