"Yxtrang?" I prompted, doing my best not to mangle a word I've never heard said aloud.

I hadn't caught it before, but the Yxtrang are the Series X-strain soldiers gone off without any civilian governance, aren't they? You people are evil. And you plot REALLY far ahead. Keep it up!
