Max! is gone

This morning, at about 6:45, our cat Max! left us for the trip across the Rainbow Bridge, age 14.

Sharon and I were in attendance for his last hours; very catlike he slipped away in his sleep, here one moment, there the next -- but which moment, we couldn't say.

We'll be scarce for a bit.
