Occasional rain...possibly mixed with snow at times. Snow accumulation less than an inch. The rain may be heavy at times. Chance of a thunderstorm. Highs around 40. East winds 15 to 25 mph.
Tonight
Rain and snow in the evening...then snow likely after midnight. Total snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Lows around 30. North winds 10 to 15 mph...becoming southwest after midnight.

Update:

at one thirty it was snowing a bit
at 2 PM the deck is covered in slush and the lawn is white...
and dinner is almost ready

as things are going right now, no, we won't be able to be there, as much as we might want to. We did think last year that we would go, but there were some minor medical complications (and hence delay and added expense as well) in the rebuild of my mouth and it would take some fancy footwork now for us to schedule that.

If the situation changes anytime soon you'll see it here -- I hate to miss a worldcon!

Snow sounds prettier than a thunderstorm.
Just a heavy frost expected here in SE Michigan tonight. Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer by PenguiCon weekend.

This morning we had an interesting white-with-green-stripes landscape as the overnight temperature was just at freezing and the ground had warmed a bit...
now there's as few spots of shaded snow, but mostly we're clear again.

We really try not to use it this time of year, as we'd have to switch daily back to heat (the evenings are still rather chilly). Instead, when the house gets warm and stuffy, we open windows. Lots of wind here, this time of year.

I understand. Last year we must have used the air conditioning at least 10 or 11 times; several times we had to leave it on for two days in a row! But once the temperatures get above freezing (and below 80) we just get by with a window or two open....
