The headline would have beeen even more interesting had they mistakenly inserted a hyphen (as happened in the URL). As in a man eating tiger...

Story about Pit Bull Terrier

Finally I have gotten around to clicking on the link to find a truly bizarre story. But here's the story I want to tell. Best Friends Animal Society was given by the Federal Court in VA 22 of Michael Vick's fighting dogs to rehabilitate. It has taken a few years now for these pit bull dogs to come out of the shut down and terrified state that they were in, but got better they did. Today we learned the the sixth of the BFAS Vick dogs has gone out to his new adoptive home. His name is Shadow and when he came to BFAS he was truly terrified of every person but no more. If you are interested go to www.bestfriends.org and see other stories about the Vick Dogs like Mya who is so gentle and loving that she helps socialize puppies who come in to the sanctuary. Every Vick dog that goes home, by the way, has to pass his/her Canine Good Citizen Certificate. I don't know what went wrong in that horrible story you chose to post. It's possible that dog suffered from brain damage or even rabies. It's very sad. The pit bull dogs who are forced to fight don't turn out very well. Others are the objects of various kinds of abuse. The breed gets a very bad rap. This breed before the bad people got a hold of it was known as "America's Dog" and was famous for being the loving protectors of children and families.

What made that dog snap? It's more than his genetics...Labs and
Collies and German Shepherds also go through this but somehow they
don't get the same media attention. What did the humans in this dog's
life do with him/her??

I gotta wonder, but it's a shame....
