Yep, copyright and all that. If you want to share,plz send folks here... a very rare snippet from Steve's side of the internet:
=============

“Got's some starcheese just in to spice our Ronian Cheese if you want some, or the crackers haven't been hardly dredged yet 'cept for The Hooper if you want something ribstickers.”
Vertu blinked, considering. She'd be early in line if the snow slowed folks down: early in and as likely early out.
“Ronian Cheese, that'll be fine.”
The bow came to her shoulders again, but the woman was already fetching the cube for her cup, and missed it.

=============

As for the day -- late night in view of the kissing ball and then slept late, sort of, then woke not too pleased with Mozart's efforts to take the old DVD player out of the stand without unplugging it. For a cat the size of the state of Maine he sure can get *into* places. On the overnight he was also into the kitchen cabinet in the corner, *his* rocking chair, and sleeping on Sharon's elbow. Hex and Scrabble had a settled night -- guess they'd been good on the year. In any case, they all got treats before we did this morning.

I got in an unexpected nap, got some words worked, ought to have some cranberry stuff to drink sometime soon. On the phone with various fambly folk, (sorry I missed you Cindy!) and here in my room Scrabble has hardly left to co-pilot's chair all day.

Not sure we'll be centered in the icy cross-hairs, but Maine's snow watch has been cancelled. Seems to be under a blizzard watch now.

How's the weather and the days where you've settled?

Thank you for the snippet. This household is SO looking forward to Skyblaze. That's a right fine looking co-pilot you've got there. Looks quite capable of anchoring the word work.

It's a cold, gray and rainy day here on the southern Oregon coast. The cats are all tucked in for an afternoon nap in their *heated* beds.

So, you there up in Maine, stay warm and dry. Peace and joy to you both.

How's the weather and the days where you've settled?

We're down in the Finger Lakes of NY and, while there's been cold-cold-cold, there's been very little snow and almost no accumulation. Weather says snow showers and chilly (15-20F) for the next few days.

Luckily, motherwoman got me wool sox and a synthetic underlayer shirt for Christmas, and husband-darling got a wool henley!

The world is quietly turning here. Christmas eve, church service, which was fun, lots of singing. Christmas day, attended a memorial service for a friend who passed away a month ago, and a fine dinner (lunchtime) with his remaining family (about 20 people). The day was spiced with a fine drifting of snow in the air here in Osaka/Nara -- pretty to see, but nothing on the ground. Today we're headed to Kyoto for a Christmas dinner with friends, and I think there's another Christmas dinner scheduled for Tuesday -- my wife decided I should do the sociable, and I'm trying to comply. Quiet, but nice. Best of the season to you and yours, and give the cats a scrubble for me, okay?

Here in Michigan the weather could not make up it's mind. Snow, then sun, then snow again, then sun and a repeat of the variations before turning to light snow this evening. Lake effect bands coming off Huron this time. Just enough accumulation to make everything nicely white again.

Wondering how much Mozart weighs. I'm about to import a 7 lb poodle from the Baldwin Park Pound in Los Angeles. I have a chihuahua mix that weighs about that also. Of course Gus weighs a whole lot more being a rather large pug dog.

Scrabble is the smallest of the cats at around 9 lbs -- Mozart is a lightweight Coon cat, under 14 lbs. Hex is on a weight gain diet -- we'll see where he is in a month...but he still weighs more then Scrabble.

Thanks for the weight info on the cats. Hoping that Hex will gain weight. My 7 lb dog proved to be merely starved for being a s stray in Los Angeles. She has gained 9 ounces since being here. The vet pronounces she could weigh up to 8.5 lbs and that would be ok.

Good luck with everything.

Tasty snippet.
Ta!

Sorry about the snow - I thought (we ALL thought) Maryland would get more. The storm had a lot of northward momentum and managed to trash the Eastern Shore before booking upwards to harass y'all.

Mozart's actions remind me of the toddler who kept trying to feed the VHS player a peanutbutter sandwich. Not pretty.

Thanks again for the news and hope you can enjoy the snowstorm.
