Good morning, Hexapuma.

Your mission today is to travel in a mock Faraday cage through the potentially dangerous streets of Winslow and Waterville to the lair of one Dr. Slack, who has inside information regarding the effects of certain operations on the ears of felines and will correlate the known information about your own recent activities in Portland with the observable situation now extant.

You will remain calm, and facing certain somewhat uncomfortable indignities like ear-swabbing with minimum evasive maneuvering will permit you to make a quick run from the lair and back across the bridge, where you will head for a safe house and the cat couch.  This mission will not be charged against your paper route money.

Be advised to go light on breakfast and plan on a long nap in the afternoon.

But this catnip mouse will not self-destruct in five seconds. Hex will have to do that himself.

Couldn't you afford a REAL Faraday cage? Copper screening doesn't cost *that* much . . .

Well, yes, but it costs so much to replace them each time. After all, they only last faraday...

Just remember, setup lines cost money.

And does this approach work?

Or will Hex freak completely out?

I'm picturing a 50% chance of "You
know where you can put this
mission, right?"
