I'm sorry but I have no opinions/advice on the webhosting front.

As for snow, Owings Mills, MD got roughly 24 inches
and Reisterstown, MD got about 20. Funny, that. I think Owings Mills must either be on a hill or at the confluence of fronts or something. I thought about opening the bookstore today but the heat on one side died Sunday and I only got it back this evening. At least the other side's heater was working. It turned out that the snowplows had covered up the heater's intake vent. Grr.

I see France got slammed with snow and the trains stopped running. Everyone must be POed - their train schedule is amazing. I know folks talk about German engineering but the French train systems are to die for. You get to rely on that and wham, along comes Mother Nature to remind you that you are but a wee link in the evolutionary chain.

I hope y'all are warm and safe,
Lauretta (Constellation Books)

We generally keep warm, at least -- even if the power goes off we have a woodstove in the basement that puts out so much heat we need to open the windows to let cool air in.... and I think we have about a week's worth of wood undercover...
