Today ...

Got some work in between running to the PO and the bank and then getting my LCD monitor back from the other coast. More work likely in the next few days since it looks like I'll be close to home with the forecast looking something like this:

Monday night

Mostly cloudy, chance of snow late. Lows 10 to 15.

Tuesday
Snow changing to sleet and freezing rain. Accumulation 2 to 4 inches.

Tuesday Night
Light sleet and freezing rain...possibly mixed with snow early.

Wednesday
Mostly cloudy, scattered snow

Wednesday Night
Scattered snow showers

Now, where *is* that Weather Spotter's card.... might need to go report!

Oh yeah, as Rolanni has mentioned in her LJ, Donato's near final sketch has come in. Looks pretty sharp, if you ask me.

You never know with the weather. This weekend, we were all expecting to get dumped on Saturday night...forecast was for decent weather Sat and Sun daytime, but two storms were headed towards the central coast, and being just below the main ridge, we had no hope of avoiding the moisture scraped oout of the clouds. At worst, rain, with with near freezing starting at dinnertime (we actually set up camp at lunch just in case), at best, waking up to winter wonderland in the morning.

Both storms fizzled. Got overcast twice, zero precipitation, and warmed up overnight to about 40F. I guess we amused the gods enough to earn a special dispensation (for the insane, presumably).
