Chapter 37 went up hours ago. Srsly.

Snowing so hard they've added 6 inches to our expectations - now calling for 18-24 inches...wheee... blowing so hard that the shield on the woodpecker feeder is threatening to smash itself

More if we have power later

Thank you!
Watch out for water pipes on outside walls, especially if the wind is driving snow against outside faucets.

We do try the keep up with such things ... and we're of the opinion that snow helps keep the house warmer than -7 without snow...

I'm certain, experienced Mainers that you are, that you are prepared with some alternate method of getting heat (such as a good fireplace and supply of wood), just in case you do lose power. I certainly hope so!

Thank you for posting Chapter 37 early, just in case you did lose power (which, I assume, is why you did it).

Woodstove in basement -- it keeps us so warm when we use it that we have to open windows to let the heat out....

BTW the link to the potential new chapter still has thirty seven in the link text.

I can see how you have now put together the insight into Theo, and the problem that took her to seed out the Delm of Korval. But, I'd kind of like to have seen Saltation end with the line:

She nodded. "It's kind of complicated," she started . . .

Now, this definitely begs a continuation for Theo and Daav and how they resolve Win Ton's problem.

For the moment ... our jobs are to get the Longeye proof done, finish the re-write of Fledgling, catch-up on the snowbound orders for SRM, determine the proper stopping spot for Saltation and get the re-write started on that, while Sharon does a fine tune on Carousel Tides...and, by the way, do the sequel to Scout's Progress, for which we have a contract....

AFTER THAT ...
we shall see

I take it that the publisher of I Dare refuses to contract for a sequel, and no one else will touch it? You and Rolanni have steadfastedly refused to comment on whatever is going on, leaving us with nothing, no hope at all. And I'm too old to hope to live until you get one written (which will be no earlier than 2010, it seems) and published (by 2012, should I live so long).

Meisha Merlin which was the original publisher of I Dare is defunct. Being out of existence, it can't publish any sequel.

Although it does, that could well be for the sequel to I Dare to resolve. Stopping on a cliffhanger isn't exactly unusual (although I certainly won't turn down an extra chapter or so).
