No snow, just winds from SSE 18 mph gusting to 22 mph. It's currently 59 degrees F.

I'm glad I'm not on a plane today - I just dropped off two friends who are flying home to St. Louis.

Cloudy, chilly and we may get rain. The gusting wind sounds very impressive!

Yesterday's winds threw things off my deck and bugged the power lines -- doesn't take much with all these pine trees swaying to end up with a momentary power outage. If we get some 30 mph gusts with a nice fluffy 15 or 18 inches of snow we'll end up with drift of 4 or 5 feet in some places. There's a wonderful notch cut through one hill on our way to the Unity PO -- the whole road can get filled in 6 or 8 feet deep while the field next to it goes bare.

Here in Ann Arbor overnight we had snow, turning to sleet, turning to freezing rain, followed by rain and fog all day. The summary forecast for today reads "Ice pellets".

For tonight we've got: "Widespread rain showers and dense fog through 10 PM...then scattered light rain and snow showers during the evening...then scattered light snow showers."

So, snow, but not a lot of it here (more further north).

All that predicted ice skipped Kansas City entirely. Dry ground and no crazy people trying to brake at the top of our hill, failing, and sliding down into our yards.

Here in Reading we woke to a light dust of snow, which turned to freezing rain by noon - the pastor announced the evening service was canceled so that people wouldn't risk driving in the ice...cars were encased by six pm and Val and I looked ridiculous trying to get up the back stairs with the groceries about 2 pm ... go to get a rail installed somehow! My Sheltie came running out to meet us and fell down the stairs.

Today ... I will be late to work. I'm waiting for the sun.

I'm going to timidly poke up my head and let you all know that here, in the eastern part San Francisco Bay Area, the temp is around 60-something and the sky is blue. It's breezy and there are clouds coming in. Rain is expected tomorrow.

I've noticed some of you *like* snow. I like cold weather. I love rain. Snow? Ice? Only if I can hibernate.

The weather I really dislike is earthquakes. Next is real hot. Fog can be ok in proper circumstances. Snow is mostly pretty good, in season. Hot and humid are right out.
