With the remains of a hurricane coming up coast, here's the forecast:

High Wind Warning in effect until 5 am EST Sunday...
Flood Watch in effect through Sunday morning...

Tonight
Rain this evening...then a chance of rain after midnight. Rain may be heavy at times this evening. Very windy with lows in the lower 30s. North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Ayuh... the wind is howling, and we've had quite a few episodes of light flicker...so this may bode interesting times for tomorrow, when we're scheduled to be on live Second Life TV ...

So it is time to check out internet cafes in towns close by. When I lose power I just scoot out to someplace that is not on the same transformers I am.

We may have three wifi spots "in town" ... and "town" is on the other side of three bridges worth of floodable rivers. AFAIK there are no hot spots in Winslow; we'd need to get to Waterville.

Here ...

other than some water coming in under the air conditioner... and some tree limbs down in the road, we're fine ... the morning is clear, cool, and windy. Haven't yet heard reports form the coast, where some storm damage to the beaches is expectable.

meanwhile... we hear that some large sections of Mass. have lost power.
