We were invited, on short notice, to an event in Waterville, Maine where we gave a short reading yesterday. One of listeners asked how they could find more on the internet and I casually said ... just use Google and type in "Sharon Lee and Steve Miller" and we'd be the subject of the first few pages....

While that's true, we've discovered that it's hard to find information on our foreign editions ...

Anyone out there up to a search for foreign language reviews of our work? This all comes up because we're involved in the Second Life book fair and a lot of the folks in SL are from overseas... and will have an easier time getting those editions or reading those reviews than trying to deal with English versions.

There have been two Liaden books published in Poland: "Conflict of Honors" http://esensja.pl/ksiazka/ksiazki/obiekt.html?rodzaj_obiektu=2&idobiektu=201 and "Agent of Change" http://esensja.pl/ksiazka/ksiazki/obiekt.html?rodzaj_obiektu=2&idobiektu=176 (click on the cover to see a large picture).
Under the title "Teksty w Esensji" you'll find links to revievs - the "Conflict of Honors" one is the same as the link given earlier (Esensja has a double form - an online version with book database etc, and offline - a downloadable magazine published 10 times in a year). Forgive me for not translating the reviews, in short they say "nice space opera but nothing groundbreaking".
As for the covers - it varies in Poland. Some has the same covers as original edition, some a "generic" cover (such as those above - just two random Jim Burns' pictures) and some has unique covers made for them.
