kinzelWell, it's looking a lot like Boskone weather, anyway.
Looks like:
Tomorrow after 6 A.M.:
Snow. Near blizzard conditions with areas of blowing and drifting snow. A chance of thunderstorms...sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon. Snow and sleet accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Blustery with highs in the lower 20s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph...increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. Wind chill values as low as 9 below in the morning.
Wednesday Night
Snow...a chance of thunderstorms and freezing rain in the evening...then snow after midnight. Near blizzard conditions with areas of blowing and drifting snow. Additional accumulation of 3 to 5 inches...
OK, so that means 7 to 13 inches, with blowing, and some sleet and freezing rain in the mix. That's mean weather. It'll be pretty, I'm sure.
Today I refilled all of the bird feeders to the very top, charged the laptop, checked the general issue battery pack (that can drive laptops for about twelve hours if it needs to), charged the cellphone, put the recyclables into the outside bin, emptied the kitchen trash (to the outside bin), made extra ice cubes and made sure the extra blue-freezie is in the freezer, made up flyers that I'll likely Fedex tomorrow to our Boskone hotel room, wrote an article for the local newspaper... and asked Rolanni to bring home a quiche and a frozen pizza. I also briefly checked in to Second Life to make sure the ghost avatar problem was fixed (hey, there's a mystery title: "Elan Neruda and the Ghost Avatars of Chatrez...)and did some minor housekeeping things.
Oh yeah, I also made sure the fire was laid (but not lit) in the basement woodstove. Before I can use it I'd need to move the monitors off the top and the banker's box away from the side, but that's doable on short notice.
