The late, lamented Felix Fishbreath (AKA "Plays With Spiders") once managed a spectacular feline feat: she set off the clock radio, thus convincing hubby it was time to get up and feed the cat before showering. It was 3-something. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the time until after the cat-feeding had taken place, thus reinforcing the behavior. For many years thereafter, we kept a coiled belt on top of the clock radio to block the buttons from prancing kitty toes.
