So the Weather Channel needs to show people standing on the beach in the water in 50 mph winds and heavy surf
...

...and I think most people are smarter that that ... still, our little Subaru -- Binjali -- is parked in an Albany riverview car park while we see the "zone of possible heavy flooding" in NY state includes a swath from about 25 miles west of Albany east to the coast ... meanwhile the catsitter reports all quiet at the house, with cats deigning to amuse her chasing laser dots from time to time.

Am waiting to see the timing of this -- according to schedule we'll be in Chicago late tomorrow, about the time the storm will be banging at Portland, if we dig through the beachside pix and figure out the information TWC is wrapping in hype and tornado warnings.

Governor has a state of emergency out, but the local threat seems to be a lot of rain and gale-force winds, Sunday into Monday morning. The current track projection has moved a bit east, which may take Albany out of the target zone.

Glad to know reasonable and prudent cat sitter is letting the cats chase laser dots - I actually was worrying about them, hoping that no windows would blow in, letting in rain and wind and the cats out!

Albany airport is now the refuge for at least 12 airplanes from more risky areas. I'm sure Binjali the Subaru will be in fine shape, probably getting a free car wash. Thinking of leaving my Subaru out tomorrow, it hasn't been washed in a while.

Surely your cardio doctor must want you to get normal sleep! I think what mine would say any time I get insomnia.
