Actually the Liaden Universe World Tour is an old idea,started about the time we were first invitied to be Guests of Honor at a convention -- say about 1998 or so. We even have banners saying Liaden Universe World Tour.
Since then it is has been used to designate events where we are either 1) Guests of Honor or Special Guests of some kind or 2)For events in which we were present and FoL were also involved in putting on a Liaden party or took part in a FoL breakfast or dinner.
The chance of me visiting an offshore con is vanishingly remote. The last time I was in an airport the man with the gun demanded to see the contents of my camera, and called back-up, too, I guess because I have a beard and was wearing a vest with pockets.
