Three of the printers in the house are recognized -- just not the cheap mulifunction. I've had worse luck with printers not being MS "certified". Since the big reason to have the Lexmark downstairs is to use it as a copier, it's not a biggie, just an excuse to bitch a bit. Likely if I'd have read a manual somewhere I'd have found the way to make it work.
Meanwhile, I added 8 programs to the computer yesterday; I selected them from the list and installed them in the background while I motored on. No stopping for permissions, no registering with MS, no rebooting of the machine.
