kinzel: (Cardinal)
This time the snow's being a bit more convincing; we'd had snow overnight, about enough to cover the grass, and then we had hours of a very light and fluffy snowfall at about 3 flakes a minute. The birds have been making a run at the food, which keeps Hexapuma a happy fellow at the window. Says on Wunderground we're expecting an inch or so, which means the yule lights will look good tonight.

Yesterday I visited the local Linux group's monthly "regular" meeting; they also have sig meetings and social meetings and potlucks where everyone brings napkins, food, and laptops....

Today we're doing what prep work we can for the coming deluge of Eidolon copies ... once the printer gets the machine back in order we'll have hundreds to deal with. As noted elsewhere we have about 100 copies here, now, to be signed and put on the road while the rest are waiting to be printed. Crossing fingers on those parts from Boston!

My Sundays have been including tracking the Ravens games as I write; now they've gone and moved the game to prime time so I'll have to watch something else. Maybe the Pats will fail in an entertaining fashion today at 1 PM... NO! They're at 4:05 ... hmmm... maybe I can root against the Giants or Tennessee sigh.

And I'm sure you've all seen the Infodumpling, right? No? You did know that Sharon's sold Carousel Tides, right?

Oh well, here:

Unnumbered Infodumpling:

EIDOLON SHIPPING DELAYED

SRM Publisher regrets to report that _Eidolon_ has not yet been mailed.
There were several contributing factors, including printer delay,
travel, and story-stall.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to begin shipping the more
than 400 orders next week.

_Eidolon_ will be added to the regular SRM Publisher catalog page
(http://www.srmpublisher.com) after the last pre-orders have shipped.

CAROUSEL TIDES FINDS A HOME

_Carousel Tides_ by Sharon Lee has been sold to Toni Weisskopf at Baen
Books. Jennifer Jackson of the Maass Agency, did the close-in work, ably
and well, as always.

_Carousel Tides_ is an urban fantasy, set in Archers Beach, Maine, which
is hardly urban, but there doesn't seem to be a classification for
contemporary fantasy set in small coastal Maine resort towns. Some
readers of this newsletter may have heard Sharon read from it at Boskone
last year.

Projected publication date is Spring or Summer 2010.
