The need for speed

kinzelActually, this time of the year in Maine you've got to be careful of speed. Not only are the roads suddenly edged with snow and ice, they're also fraught with crossing deer, moose, turkeys, squirrels (not so much a danger as long as you don't over react)...and the increasingly common instant pothole.
Speaking of speed (you knew there was a tie-in, I bet)... we've shipped all the pre-orders of Allies I can locate as well as some of the more recent orders. This so much that I'll have to run to Augusta tomorrow to deliver some chapbooks for reprinting. Busy is good, I'm told.

...A Liaden Universe® Adventure is being updated about once a day... right now the update is not fiction, but a story of sorts nonetheless... because the page features a progress bar on how many chapters of Fledgling have been funded... and how far along we are on the next. IIRC, we're currently nearly 50% funded for chapter 6, scheduled for release March 5th, 2007. Please feel free to take news of this project elsewhere, as has been previously discussed.
By the way if you see a particularly interesting mention of Fledgling, let us know. If you'd like to interview us about Fledgling for a blog or podcast, please let us know here or at the Theo Waitley community page ... and yes, Theo is *not now and has never been* a vampire.
