Drive-by idiots.... and some good news.

sigh,

We're in good company.... Peter F. Hamilton, J.D. Robb, the Dalai Lama ....

UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED

which is to say we've all been targeted by the same prank reviewer on amazon.com.

I asked earlier for help -- saying "Those of you with time on your hand can help us out a bit by going to the amazon.com webpage for Crystal Dragon and clicking on the (report this) option at the bottom of the drive-by nonsense review by "Rob Runce." If you've read the books electronically or are one of the lucky early readers, *do* feel free to put a real review."

Apparently our plea was quickly heard, because the offending review for Crystal Dragon has been removed. Go Amazon! However, the last time we looked there was still a nonsense review by the same person
under Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamiton, J.D. Robb's Naked In Death, and the Dalai Lama's autobiography.
Sigh...

and then the good news is:

Ice cream! Made to order. With a Linux operating system.
In under a minute!
snarfed from the groklaw.net right column this morning...

(ver.2c) after a bit of coffee and some more coffee

Well either Amazon is fast or I missed it somehow.

I'm not seeing the Rob Runce review-looks like Amazon may have cleaned up the poo this monkey was flinging around. There's only one legit review showing.

Yes, it does seem to have worked suprisigly quickly. Now, maybe some Peter Hamilton fans can get together and get the suptidity removed from his page....

I'll be going to my nearby Borders tomorrow and see if they have the book. If not, I'll order it thru them. Nothing like that to make booksellers notice authors. I hope.

(By the way, I love the crazy-green-eyed-black-cat illustration you put up with your post.)

That's a very famous cat -- Lord Black Cat from Trigun. I've got a stuffed copy overseeing my work right now... and he's accompanied me to a couple conventions as the guardian of my camera bag...

I want a MooBella of my own. It's so (you should pardon the expression) cool!

By the way, there's something squirrely with the BN.COM listing for Crystal Dragon. It has the book showing as "Out of Print/Unavailable".

Out of print likely means they;ve run out of their first order and don't know when the next shipment is in... ought to get to them within a week or so according to ditributor's shopment schedule that I heard...
