Meanwhile, the folding door is finally hung, the washer is washing (and still making that *new noise* which may portend problems), the dishes are done, the kitten's catbox refilled, the orders forwarded to the database machine, the birdfeeder's been re-hung on a new S-hook after mysteriously being flung from it's perch earlier today (my guess is a gust of wind, of which we've had several today, else a hawk or cat taking a bird direct from the feeder, which we've seen both of previously)... all of which proves I'm working on something. I'm never as busy as when I've got a story in gear...

I think Amazon's recommendations system has gotten messed up. It usually is reasonably on for me, but when I checked the other day it was recommending bizarre things. A lot of it seemed to be based on Harry Potter - I figured okay, lots of people get that, it skews things, so I told them to stop using that for recommendations. When it started recommending Pearl Jam and Eminem because I like Lord of the Rings, I sent them an email suggesting they needed to check their system.
