DB, a long time reader of Liaden Universe stories, reports to us that he's read the hardcover
Crystal Soldier and that it's on the shelf at "Barnes and Noble out here in Citrus Heights, CA."

Go Citrus Heights! And, so much for the author's constant fear that every copy of a new book will be hijaacked for use as mulch in a garden in West Jersey.

No such luck in Canada

Amazon.ca has just decided that my order for Crystal Soldier will not ship until at least April 7th (wah!!!). They're shipping the rest of the items on my order now which is nothing that I really wanted right away - of course.

It looks like amazon ordered more than 500 Crystal Soldiers for thier warehouses and then didn't have enough; they *never* seem to order nearly enpough the first time around. We're showing shipments to people who ordered from our home page banner -- but amazon is still way behind on filling those, too.

The recent spate of bad weather isn't helping -- it's hit the Diamond warehouse center and the usual truck teavel routes out of there three or four times in two weeks.
