Back from hospital, crutches for awhilw

The ganglion cyst the size of a cocktail tomato is gone from the top of my foot. I'm still sleepy with the meds and will sleep for awhile.  SRM packing on hold for some days.

Sending healing vibes your way.

How big is a cocktail tomato? How did you get your shoes on with it there?

Hope all goes according to plan from here on out.

let's see .. cyst was on order of 4cmX6cmI forget with the pain pills high cm ... work/snow shoveling boots didn't fit this winter. The location let me tie my shoes...and the thing changed in size up and down over time. Enough was enough...

Sounds like you'll want to spend lots of time with your foot propped up. Hope you feel better soon.

wouldn't say *want* ... but the surgeon is suggesting something like 55 minutes/hour as a good ratio on the foot propped and unpropped front.

thanks...

"Toes to Nose" was my podiatrist's mantra after my own foot surgery, i.e. foot above heart level to keep swelling down.

Sleep is good. TV is good. Have you tried Netflix's streaming option "play now?" Don't know about your internet speed at home, but the movies are very watchable that way.

Have you see any of the films from Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki (http://www.netflix.com/RoleDisplay/Hayao_Miyazaki/20018813?trkid=1457035&lnkce=mdp-director)? They are all animated and fabulous. I highly recommend Howl's Moving Castle (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Howl_s_Moving_Castle/70028883?trkid=1660) and Spirited Away (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Spirited_Away/60023642?trkid=1660)

Ouch! Glad to hear you got rid of that thing. Take care...
