Adjusting things

By the end of 2009 I hope to have the new Korval and Liaden websites up -- and over on Sharon's blog is a list that can start the bibliography ... or be used a base, at least.

now all we need is the dates of original publications from each publisher, including SFBC, the strange omnibi editions (Partners in Necessity, Pilots Choice) the chapbooks, the story collections, the overseas editions (Russian, Polish, German), the electronic editions (and boy, look at the permutations there!)

It would be really good, I think, if bibliographers did not credit me with the Dragonlance stuff.  Really. This is not fair to the hardworking Steve Miller who wrote those -- but who is not me. Nor have I written any Christian prayer books, nor any books on trade-show marketing. hate to disappoint, but Tradeshow Steve is not me, even if we both did have our names on books called Agent of Change, in the same year.

Breakfast waits. Hope to see lots of you in Montreal.

Also, yes, I'll be needing some eyes for forthcoming chapbooks.

Coffee!

Steve, I have librarian status on goodreads.com and am updating your profile. It looks like all Steve Miller authors have been rolled into 1 profile. For your bio info, i just borrowed from the biography written for Fledgling. I am in the process of weeding out the 81 titles accredited to you to be just the correct ones. When I finish with you I will do Sharon.

A request, there is a place for a bio photo. Can I have permission to use the real photo user pics from your LJ's of you and Sharon? Are there other photos you would prefer instead?

(I'd like to volunteer as having eyes for your proofing needs, if/when you need more.)

You are good to go, at least on Goodreads.com

This bibliographer thing is not as easy as it looks when you are dealing with a fairly common name. I think I identified 8 distinct authors named Steve Miller:
SM #1 = Liaden author (and a few mystery short stories, I discovered)
SM #2 = Dragonlance, RPG, & How to Draw comics
SM #3 = Religious & Spiritual
SM #4 = Trade Show & Self Help
SM #5 = Science Fact (mostly chemistry)
SM #6 = Mysteries
SM #7 = Photographer
SM #8 = world weathervane expert

This is a case where bio photos would be a BIG help! Well, if you already knew what your author looked like...

What might help...

...would be if one or more had unique middle names.

Maybe Steve could do a JKRowling and become "Steve Kinzel Miller" aka SKM ;-)

Cleaning up Sharon's bibliography at goodreads.com

Did Sharon write any of these titles:
1. Hosanna! Calendars, Creative Projects, and Paper Crafts for Lent and Easter
2. Teacher Research: From Promise to Power
3. Grandfather clock and other finger plays, word rhythms, and action rhymes

HHmmmmm....My coffee maker makes an entirely different and suggestive noise when the coffee is ready.

Anything I can do to help? I do have some free time.

I would like to point out that I, too, have eyes :o)
