As the one who uncovered the story's availability and posted it to the mailing list, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And it makes me wonder, when the key was mentioned in Agent of Change, did they already have its backstory in mind? I like to think so.

Good story
I have often wondered what happen to Laid after Korval Left.
So, they are going to have some bad weather – serves them right.
I was kind of hoping that people (such as the Yxtrang and the Terrans) would find them weaker and try to take advantage of them.
Ok, so I am a little bit vindictive.
