Worldcon updates, Denvention ...

If you've always seen science fiction conventions as something "they" do, you may be surprised that the process actually can involve you. You can have input in terms of programming ideas, you can, really --

Go here and fill out the survey --

Want to be on programming? There's a really useful FAQ here:

Did you know that Denvention is already posting some bio stuff here? --

here's mine ...

If memory serves, I did fill out the programming questionnaire. However, I suspect knowing the head of programming may work against me as I suspect she doesn't want to be accused of padding out programming with her friends.

What's even more annoying is coming up with a great idea for a program panel, suggesting it to programming, and having them use it--with other people, none of them yourself.

Good icon ...

and they're not going to be deciding a lot of stuff until mid-May, IIRC. I was among the first dozen to fill out the survey, I think, and since I'd been in the midst of updating my bio that info was instantly available when I got a request... I have no idea yet if they'll use any of my suggestions -- I think I'm about 3 for 16 in the panel suggestion sweepstakes of late.
