News this morning was that the leedle bit of storm that came through here was nasty enough where our server is to cause some problems; and now the problems are fixed. What happened? Something a bit like this: http://bangornews.com/detail/50328.html ... but it looks like electrons are back on target today.

the thing is that, as writers and publishers, despite having the largest mailing list we've ever had we're seeing a ... softening ... in what people can afford to do and what people are willing to commit to. I think gas prices and that general unwillingness to commit was one of the reasons Denvention was not as large as it could have been, and I suspect that if the mood continues the combination of needing to cross borders and spend lots will have a negative impact on Anticipation as well ... with the added burden that we can't tell at this distance if the current tiny conversion advantage the US$ has will maintain.
