Not to be too picky about it, but those folks were eligible to be nominated. Form the ranks of the eligible, only five are nominated. These five then fight to the bloody death and the lone survivor takes home the Campbell (not a Hugo!) plaque.

I'm not really under consideration any more either. The votes are all in, and may even have already been counted. I'm much like Schroedinger's cat. I exist in a state of indeterminancy. Alas, I suspect there's a cyanide capsule in my future.

Then too, it's an honor just being nominated. Truly.
