About telephone tables:

you can find some in "fine furniture shops" for a few hundred $real wood $dollars. Also, I think Target has some through mail order, and I may have to get one that way since i have a corner... that need something and a classic telephone table may be the only thing that will fit. And yes, i want to put a telephone on it, too...
